New ways of education and ministry

I am sitting in an amazing class on utilizing the web and social networking for the growth of faith in God and Jesus Christ.  In one hour I have created a website that is more engaging and involved with my congregation and the world.  I can't wait to use it.

Yesterday's vestry meeting continued our prayerful discernment of who we are and where we are going at St. Thomas of Canterbury.  We made a great stride in this effort by realizing that we need to be better connected with God and have a better understanding of our calling as a parish before we charge down any road.  So we chose to go home and pray about spending additional time as a vestry in prayer and bible study during each month to help guide us in our business and ministry decisions. I am pleased because this shows spiritual leadership as well as the business leadership.
